Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the case of the petitioners is covered by the circular dated 22.08.2019 issued by the Finance Department, Government of Punjab, which provides for a similar benefit of Assured Career Progression Scheme in the revised pay scales in the year 2011 and the pay anomaly was to be removed subject to certain conditions mentioned therein.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the pay anomaly has been created on account of revised pay scale in the year 2011. 3.
Keeping in view the above, the present petition is allowed and the State authorities are directed to consider the case of the petitioners for removing the pay anomaly and stepping up the pay of the petitioners. 4.
It is made clear that anomaly is the result of pre-revised pay scales in the year 2011 and therefore, if other conditions are satisfied, the step up would be done. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from today and the arrears, if any, shall be released to the petitioners within the said period.
