Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for quashing the provisions contained in the Advertisement Nos. 5/2021 & 12/2021 dated 19.10.2021 (P-2 & P-3 respectively) issued by the respondents for recruitment to the post(s) of Assistant Professor(s) in the subjects of (i) Commerce; and (ii) Mathematics, which exempt the certain category of part time / guest faculty / contractual teachers working in the Govt. Colleges from upper age limit for submission of application and further for granting them additional marks for their experience.

This Court while allowing CWP No. 22446 of 2021, titled as "Harmesh Singh and others Versus State of Punjab and others & other connected matters" vide order of even date; has quashed the Memo. dated 18.10.2021, Public Notice dated 19.10.2021 as well as 33 Advertisements (No.1/2021 to 33/2021) alongwith entire consequential selection process, therefore, nothing survives for adjudication on merits.
