RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondent No.4 at the instance of respondent No.5 so that the petitioner may not become a victim of subjugation and persecution inflicted upon her by the accused persons and deliberate inaction and riling of police authorities. It is further prayed to issue direction to the respondents for conducting an expeditious and impartial probe in case any complaint is made at the instance of private respondent. It is further prayed to direct respondents to issue one week prior notice to the petitioner in terms of Section 35(3) of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 if petitioner is required for the purpose of investigation. It is also prayed to decide the representation of the petitioner, dated 01.08.2024, Annexure P-4, in accordance with law and initiate MEENU 2024.08.22 10:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of her grievances, the petitioner has already filed representation, Anenxure P-4, before respondent No.2 on 01.08.2024 but no action has been taken on the same till date.

Notice of motion to respondents no.1 to 4-State only. On asking of the Court, Mr.Tarun Aggarwal, Sr.DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State. Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with a direction to respondent No.2-the Commissioner of Police, District Amritsar, to look into the representation, Annexure P-2, and decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from today.
