*** NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No.0052 dated 02.06.2017 registered under Sections 498-A, 323, 34 IPC at Police Station Bhavwala, District Fazilka (Annexure P-1) and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of Compromise dated 08.11.2021(Annexure P-2) effected between the parties. Learned counsel for the respondent-State, on instructions from H.C. Ram Singh, informs that all the three accused in the present FIR/petitioners herein, have been acquitted by the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Abohar vide judgment dated 09.01.2024. Perusal of order sheet shows that there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners on the last date of hearing. Even today, none appears on behalf of the parties.

Pursuant to the abovesaid compromise dated 08.11.2021, vide order dated 17.11.2021, the parties had been directed to record their statements whereupon report has been received from the Illaqa Magistrate attesting to the genuineness of the compromise between the parties. Besides that, in view of the statement made on behalf of the counsel for the respondent-State, the present petition is disposed of as having become infructuous. In case anything survives, liberty is granted to the petitioner to revive the present petition within a period of three months from today, if so advised.
