* * * * Learned counsel for the claimant has, today, brought to our notice the disability certificate, wherein it is recorded that there is shortening of leg by 1cm with permanent disability of 40%. It is also stated in the disability certificate that the injured is feeling great difficulty in sitting and squatting. The matter was, thus, discussed again and in view of the above, the counsel for the claimant submits that the claimant will feel satisfied if she is awarded another sum of `2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lac Only) over and above the amount already awarded by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal. The proposal has been accepted by Mr. Vinod Gupta, learned counsel for the Insurance Company and on a reconsideration of the matter, the claim of the appellant has been settled, and the compensation is enhanced by another `2,00,000/- in full and final satisfaction of the claim of the appellant.

As agreed, as per statements of learned counsel for the appellant as well as counsel for the Insurance Company, separately recorded, a sum of `2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lac Only) over and above the amount already awarded by the Tribunal is allowed to the appellant in full and final settlement of her claim. Two months' time is allowed to the Insurance Company to deposit the amount with the MACT, Hoshiarpur, failing which, interest at the rate of 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order. The enhanced amount be paid to the appellantRamnik Kaur through cheque or be deposited in her Bank Account. The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
