Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Rinku son of petitioner No.1 and brother of petitioner No.2 had married Sarbhi daughter of respondent No.4. This marriage was solemnized without permission and against the wishes of respondent No.4, as such, he is posing threat to the life and liberty of petitioners.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa to look into the grievance of petitioner regarding threat to their life and liberty, verify the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to petitioners from any action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against them in accordance with law.
