**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Learned State counsel informs the Court that in pursuance of order dated 18.11.2021, the case has been recommended for payment of an amount of Rs.27,000/- along with interest @ 18%.

Perusal of the record would show that the petitioner purchased a fancy registration number PB-10-DB-0011 having won the same on online auction and paid an amount of Rs.27,000/- in favour of RTA, Ludhiana. Registration certificate for the said fancy number was allotted to the petitioner on 25.02.2017, but thereafter on 08.01.2020, the RTA, Ludhianarespondent No.3 issued notice to the petitioner for surrendering JYOTI SHARMA 2021.12.13 11:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No. 23260 of 2021 -2the fancy number as the same was also allotted to respondent No.4. The said notice was on account of order passed in CWP No.9128 of 2021.

In view of aforesaid situation, the petitioner showed his willingness to accept an amount of Rs.27,000/- along with interest for which indulgence was granted by this Court on 18.11.2021.

In view of facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to return the amount in question along with 18% interest from the date of accrual i.e. February, 2017 till final realization of the amount. The amount shall be paid along with interest within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Disposed of.
