Tribhuvan Dahiya, J (Oral) The petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant compound interest on the arrears of salary at the rate of twenty four per cent per annum, which have been granted vide order, dated 15.07.2024, Annexure P-7, from the due date till the date of actual payment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case she is permitted to make a fresh representation before the respondents raising the grievance as has been raised in this petition, and the same may be ordered to be decided within a specified period.

Learned State counsel, appearing on advance notice, contends that in case any such representation is filed by the petitioner, the same will be decided by the second respondent, expeditiously. AVIN KUMAR 2024.08.27 18:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this judgment/order.

In view thereof, without going into the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before the respondents within a period of two weeks from today. In case any such representation is filed by the petitioner, the same shall be decided by the second respondent-Director General, Secondary Education, by passing a speaking order thereupon, within a period of three months of receiving the representation.
