Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent-department to adjust the petitioner against the sanctioned vacant post of Group-D/Class-IV under respondent No.3 as per the Policy dated 02.02.2019 (Annexure P-3) with a further prayer to grant extension of contract period of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per letter dated 11.03.2019 (Annexure P-6), upon joining of the regular candidate, the petitioner was relieved. He further submits that as per the photocopy of Page No.

30 of Stock Register (Annexure P-14), Washing Powder was issued to him on 16.10.2020 and Annexure P-15 indicates that the petitioner was in service uptil July-2021, but salary for the period from December-2020 to July-2021, is yet to be paid to the petitioner.
