The petitioner through the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 3 to process his online application seeking re-issuance of passport. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner was issued passport on 23.11.2013 which was valid upto 22.11.2023. An FIR No. 12 dated 14.02.2020, under Sections 498-A and 406 of IPC was registered against the petitioner at Police Station Women Cell, District Bathinda. The petitioner has preferred CRM-M- 26490 of 2020 before this Court seeking setting aside of the aforesaid FIR. This Court vide order dated 07.09.2020 issued notice of motion and stayed further proceedings arising out of the aforesaid FIR.
