IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH 2024:PHHC:060685-DB CWP-945-2017 (O&M) Date of Decision: 02.05.2024 REENA KUMARI . . . . Petitioner Vs.

STATE OF HARYANA AND OTHERS . . . . Respondents ****

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE SUKHVINDER KAUR ****

Present

None for the petitioner.

Mr. Hitesh Pandit, Addl. A.G., Haryana.

**** SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA, J.(Oral)

1. No one appears for the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel for the State informs that the selection in question is with regard to an advertisement issued on 28.06.2015, and all the appointments have been made. It is the case of the petitioner that she could not acquire the HTET passed certificate on account of the respondents not holding the examination every year. We find that the same cannot be a reason to treat her eligible for selection since the selection is to be done in conformity with the NCTE guidelines which requires teachers to have passed the TET exam as a prerequisite qualification.

3. Writ Petition is misconceived and is accordingly dismissed.

4. All pending applications also stand disposed of accordingly. (SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA) JUDGE (SUKHVINDER KAUR) JUDGE May 02, 2024 Mohit goyal
