(ORAL) Through this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prayer has been made for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 not to harass the petitioner and her family members at the instance of respondent No.4 and restrain him from interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner married with respondent No.4 on 01.08.2021 against the wishes of her parents. Therefore, they filed petition before the District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar, for protection of their life and liberty at the hands of family members of the petitioner. The said petition is pending for 06.12.2021.

After marriage behaviour of respondent No.4 changed towards the petitioner. She came to know that respondent No.4 is habitual of consuming drugs. He started torturing the petitioner mentally and physically. Therefore, she has decided to snap her relations with RAVINDER SINGH 2021.11.

-2CRWP-10936 of 2021 respondent No.4 and reside with her parents. Now respondent No.4 is threatening the petitioner that in case she would not join his company, he will harm her. Therefore, life and liberty of petitioner and her family members may be protected from respondent No.4. Heard.

Admittedly, petition for protection of life and liberty of petitioner and respondent No.4 is pending before the District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar. Once earlier petition for protection of life and liberty is pending, petitioner cannot be permitted to pursue this petition. Petitioner has other remedies which can be availed in accordance with law.
