Learned counsel for the respondents-UOI, at the outset, submits that the passport authority has given appointment to the petitioner for 18.09.2023. The passport authority would pass an appropriate order after considering police verification report as well as submissions of the petitioner.

Faced with this, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file afresh if application of the petitioner is declined by the passport authority. 3.
