Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent(s) for considering the candidature of petitioners as "Eligible" for the post(s) of Pre-Primary Teachers in pursuant to Advertisement dated 14.09.2021 (P-1) for filling up 8393 posts by granting them age relaxation in the upper age limit upto the age when they were appointed initially as Volunteers.

At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioners, submits that in view of the averments made in para-5 of preliminary submissions of reply dated 07.07.2022 filed by the State of Punjab, he does not want to pursue the present petition any further. Disposed off accordingly.

Needless to say that in case the occasion so arise(s), petitioner(s) would be at liberty to raise their grievance in accordance with law.
