The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of regular bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.193 dated 1.11.2018 at Police Station Beas, District Amritsar under Section 354 of Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of POCSO Act, 2012.

Ms. Rinky Gupta, Advocate has today put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.2 and 3 i.e. the complainant and the victim and has filed memorandum of appearance, which is taken on record. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the FIR came to be lodged under some misunderstandings and that the parties have now amicably resolved their issues.

The aforesaid position is not disputed by the learned counsel representing the complainant.

The learned State counsel has informed that the petitioner has been behind bars since the last about 11 months and that six prosecution witnesses including the prosecutrix and the victim already stand examined. 6.

Having regard to the aforestated position especially that the petitioner has been behind bars since the last about 11 months, further detention of the petitioner will not serve any useful purpose. The petition, as such, is accepted and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
