JUSTICE AMIT RAWAL -.- AMIT RAWAL J.(ORAL) The petitioner has come for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus seeking following relief:- "Civil writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to renew at the earliest the passport No.G2731206 belonging to the petitioner. It is further prayed that any other appropriate writ, direction or order may kindly be issued by this Hon'ble Court in view of the facts and circumstances of the case. The fact remains that the petitioner has not applied for a new passport as the term of the passport aforementioned has expired on 01.04.2017. There is no provision for renewal of the passport. It has to be applied afresh with fresh particulars, even if name of spouse has changed owing to separation or other divorce petition. The petitioner is at liberty to move fresh application for issuance of new passport by disclosing subsequent events.
