(Oral) Reply by way of separate affidavits of Kuljit Singh, Assistant Inspector General of Police, NRI & Women Wing, Amritsar and Satpal Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran, has been filed in court today. Same are taken on record. Learned State counsel submits that the petitioner has not been summoned to the police station pursuant to registration of FIR No.14 dated 04.11.2016 registered under Sections 420, 498-A and 377 IPC at Police Station P.S. NRI, Amritsar. He, on instructions from ASI Naresh Kumar, submits that in case the petitioner is required at any stage of investigation, prior notice under Section 160 Cr.P.C. shall be served upon him. In view of statement made by the State counsel, no cause of action survives in this petition. Same is disposed of.
