(Oral) Short reply by way of affidavit of Gurdev Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rural Patiala, on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 has been filed in court today. Same is taken on record. Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that the matter has been compromised between the parties. A statement has been made by the petitioner that he has entered into a compromise with the Truck Union. According to him, no cause of action survives in this petition. Aforesaid plea remains uncontroverted.
In view of the above, this petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
