Prayer made in the present writ petition is that acquisition of land has lapsed in view of provisions of Section 24(2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short, the Act) as the notifications under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act were issued on 27.04.2006 and 26.04.2007, respectively and two awards were announced by the Land Acquisition Collector (for short, the Collector) for the land in question i.e. on 23.04.2009 and 23.06.2009. As period of five years has not lapsed from the date the PANKAJ KUMAR 2018.07.24 11:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.9755 of 2017 (O&M) -2award was announced by the Collector, provisions of Section 24(2) of the Act cannot be invoked.

The writ petition is dismissed.
