***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) FAO-9088-2014 Present appeal is directed against the award dated 20.08.2011 passed by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Ludhiana, whereby compensation of Rs.20,000/- was granted by it for damage to the car of the appellant.

Accident took place on 21.04.2009 at about 4.30 p.m.. Claimant was going to village Sudhar after some work at Chandigarh. At that time, his car was hit by the offending vehicle. He filed the instant claim petition. Tribunal came to the conclusion that accident had occurred due to rash and negligent driving by the driver of the offending vehicle. While computing the compensation, the Tribunal found that though claimant suffered certain injuries, but he was treated free of cost at the military Sukhpreet Kaur 2017.05.03 10:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document hospital. income during the period he underwent the treatment. It, thus, awarded a compensation of Rs.20,000/- alongwith 6% interest for damage to the car of the claimant.

I find no infirmity with the order. This appeal is without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
