(ORAL) As per the status-report filed by way of the affidavit of Hitesh Kumar, Sub Divisional Officer (C), Ambala City dated 25.05.2022, the election in respect of the Municipal Corporation, Ambala was held on 27.12.2020 and results were announced on 30.12.2020. The oath of allegiance has been held by the Commissioner, Ambala Division, Ambala of the elected members on 14.01.2021. In the separate reply filed by the Municipal Corporation, Ambala on 18.01.2021, in paragraph No.8, it is stated that name of the NEETU RANI 2022.05.31 15:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment PHHC

petitioner Manjeet Brar was not registered in an electoral roll of a ward of Municipal Area, which was mandatory qualification under Section 7 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1994. She has attached the electoral roll of 05-Ambala City Assembly Constituency with her nomination papers and the said electoral roll does not fall under the electoral roll of the Municipal Corporation, Ambala. No replication has been filed to this reply dated 18.01.2021.

Keeping in view the fact that the election has taken place and even oath of allegiance has been held on 14.01.2021, nothing survives in this petition and the same stands dismissed.
