***** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking a number of directions from this Court. The first prayer/direction sought is that the investigation of case FIR No.0194 dated 18.06.2020 under Sections 307, 452, 506, 504, 447, 148 and 149 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act registered with Police Station City Patti, District Tarn Taran and its cross-version be handed over to some independent agency. There is an alternative prayer that an SIT be constituted to investigate the aforementioned cases.

The third substantive prayer/direction sought is for the quashing of the cross version cases bearing GD No.039 dated 29.06.2020 and GD No.39 dated 10.07.2020 (Annexures P-10 and P-13) under Sections 336, 506, 148, 149 IPC and Sections 25, 27 of the Arms Act registered with Police Station City Patti.

There are still other prayers/directions sought that the impugned GD No.32 dated 29.07.2020 (Annexure P-15) registered with Police Station City Patti whereby three main accused in FIR No.194 dated 18.06.2020 (Annexure P-4) have wrongly been declared innocent and GD No.47 dated 01.08.2020 (Annexure P-16) registered with Police Station Patti whereby offence under Section 326 IPC has been added in the cross version case. be also quashed.

The learned counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Balwinder Singh submits that in FIR No.0194 dated 18.06.2020, the challan was submitted on 28.01.2021 and the case is now fixed for 17.08.2022 for framing of the charges before the Court below. With respect to GD No.039 dated 29.06.2020 which pertains to the registration of the cross-case, the learned State counsel submits that the challan has already been submitted and the case is now pending for framing of the charges.

With regard to quashing of GD No. 32 dated 29.07.2020 (Annexure P-15) and GD No.47 dated 01.08.2020 (Annexure P-16), the petitioners are at liberty to avail their alternative remedies in accordance with the law.

In view of the above, as the challan in the main case as well as the cross-case has already been submitted, no further orders need to be passed. Disposed of.
