Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to the official respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from respondent No.5 as he is harassing them and has taken away their valuable articles and educational certificates. Counsel for the petitioner submits that before approaching this Court, a legal notice dated 09.12.2020 (Annexure P-3) was served upon the official respondents but no action has been taken. He submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the official respondent to examine the legal notice (Annexure P-3). CRWP No.90 of 2021 {2} Without adverting to the merits of the petitioner's allegations at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Commissioner of Police, District Jalandhar - respondent No.3 to consider the legal notice, Annexure P-3 and thereafter, to take appropriate steps as warranted, in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is any imminent threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then it be ensured that no harm is caused to the petitioner.

A copy of this order alongwith copy of Annexure P-3 be sent to the Commissioner of Police, District Jalandhar- respondent No.3 to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
