1. Petitioner-Muktesh Bajwa, aged about 73 years, stated to be a retired Lieutenant Colonel seeks issuance of directions to protect her life and liberty as she apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6.

2. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is residing alone in her house situated in Ferozepur and that respondent No.4-Ranjit Singh who resides in a house opposite to the house of the petitioner has been threatening and intimidating the petitioner in an attempt to grab her house. It is further alleged that respondent No.4 to 6 even makes obscene gestures in order to instill fear in the mind of the petitioner. CRWP-8429-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) although a representation dated 02.07.2024 (Annexure P-1) was submitted to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, but to no avail.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, to get representation dated 02.07.2024 (Annexure P-1) examined qua the alleged threat perception of the petitioner in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps as warranted under law be taken thereupon.

4. A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 02.07.2024 (Annexure P-1) be sent to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, for necessary compliance.
