(Oral) The petitioner has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court in terms of Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking prayer by way of writ of mandamus for issuance of directions to the respondents for re-fixation of pension of the petitioner at the rate of 50% of the pay and allowances last drawn by him and grant him all consequential benefits and to decide the legal notice dated 28.10.2020, Annexure P-5.

Heard.

Notice of motion to the official respondents-State. Ms. Simran Grewal, AAG, Punjab has put in appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents-State. Copy supplied.

CWP No. 17682 of 2021 (O&M) -2Upon hearing learned counsel of both the sides and on perusal of the records, the present petition stands disposed off with the directions to the official respondents to consider the legal notice dated 28.10.2020, Annexure P-5, as representation and decide the same, moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

If found entitled and if there is no impediment for the relief, the same be granted to the petitioner without any delay, as per law.
