**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 229 dated 21.11.2020, under Section 61(1) of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, registered at Police Station Vairoke, District Fazilka.
Vide order dated 12.2.2021, passed by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, the petitioner was granted interim bail and was directed to join the investigation.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that pursuant to the order dated 12.2.2021, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurbaksh Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for any further investigation.
