Mr. Amandeep Singh Gulati, Advocate,for the petitioner. Through Video Conferencing JASGURPREET SINGH PURI , J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking directions to respondent Nos.1 to 3 for providing protection of life and liberty and security to the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is of 25 years of age and her date of birth is 01.01.1995 and she has attached copy of the Aadhar Card (Annexure P-1) in this regard. He has further submitted that respondent Nos. 4 and 5 are the parents of the petitioner and respondent No.

6 is the sister of the petitioner and they are forcing the petitioner to marry a person of a higher age whereas the petitioner wants to pursue her studies and she does not want to marry with the person, who is not of her choice. He has further submitted that the private respondents have been threatening constantly that in case she does not marry with the person of their choice then not only will they consume poison but they will also get her killed. The learned counsel for the petitioner referred to para Nos.5, 6 and 7 of the petition to support his contention. He has further submitted that the petitioner had given VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2021.01.

CRWP-11001-2020 -2representation (Annexure P-2) dated 20.12.2020 to the Superintendent of Police, Panchkula (Haryana) in this regard but no action has been taken so far. He has further submitted that now the petitioner's engagement is forcibly fixed on 05.01.2021 and therefore, she sought protection in this regard.

Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1 to 3 only. On asking of the Court, Mr. Munish Sharma, Assistant Advocate General, Haryana, present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 and submits that he has no objection in case the petition is disposed of with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Panchkula (DCP, Panchkula) for looking into the representation (Annexure P-2) given by the petitioner in this regard, in accordance with law. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. This petition can be disposed of without calling for reply from the respondents. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panchkula is directed to look into the representation (Annexure P-2) given by the petitioner to the Superintendent of Police, Panchkula (Haryana) (although the designation is Deputy Commissioner of Police, Panchkula) and to access the threat perception of the petitioner in this regard and thereafter, to take adequate steps if so required and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the receipt of copy of this order.

Disposed of accordingly.
