This petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to join as a medical officer at Urban Slum Area Dispensary, Ferozepur.

At the outset, learned State counsel has pointed out that in pursuance of the order dated 23.12.2020 (Annexure P-3), passed by the competent authority, the petitioner has already joined on the post in question, hence, the present petition is rendered infructuous. The above factual position is not controverted by learned counsel for the petitioner.
