The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondent No.2 to attach property of respondents No.4 and 5 pursuant to award dated 29.04.2016 passed by the Commissioner under the Employees Compensation Act, 1923 (for short, '1923 Act'). 2.

The petitioner on account of death of her husband approached the Commissioner under 1923 Act who vide order dated 29.04.2016 awarded compensation of Rs.8,54,280/- along with interest @ 12% per annum which was to be increased to 18% per annum in case of non-payment of awarded amount within 90 days. The respondent did not make payment and the petitioner approached the authorities. The competent authority issued directions dated 25.09.2023 to recover the said amount as land revenue. CWP-20943-2024 land has already been transferred in the name of wife of respondent No.4. 3.

Mr.V.K.Sandhir, Advocate submits that authorities constituted under v1923 Act and revenue authorities are playing hide and seek and order passed by competent authority is not executed. 4.

This Court cannot act as an Executing Court, nevertheless, sanguine of the fact that jurisdictional authorities would execute award dated 29.04.2015 in accordance with provisions of Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887.
