(ORAL) The present petition has been filed for quashing of an order dated 21.03.2017 (Annexure P-3) passed by the District Development and Panchayat Officer-cum-Collector, Hoshiarpur. The said order has been passed under Section 7 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1971 (in short the Act).

From the perusal of the order, it is evident that the rent payable by the petitioner has been calculated within an exercise undertaken under Section 7 of the Act. This order is appealable under Section 9 of the Act. The petitioner has an effective alternate remedy of an appeal.
