**** RAVI SHANKER JHA, CHIEF JUSTICE ( Oral ) Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing at some length, submits that the petitioner be permitted to file a representation before the Director, Department of Medical Education and Research, Mohali (respondent No.6) and the petition be disposed of directing respondent No.6 to decide the issue raised by the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid, the petitioner is permitted to file a representation before respondent No.6 along with a copy of the petition. In case, the petitioner does so within a period of two days, respondent No.6 shall consider and take a decision thereon expeditiously, preferably within a period of one week of the filing of representation by the petitioner. It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. Petition is disposed of.
