The instant Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No.1 & 2 to ensure that fair and impartial enquiry be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 and the relevant rules and instructions issued by the Government from time to time, into the allegations of embezzlement of panchayat funds committed by respondent No.6. A further prayer has been made for directing respondents No.1 and 2 to consider/decide the representation dated 15.07.2024 (Annexure P-2).

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedies before the concerned department. 3.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
