*** ANIL KSHETARPAL, J (Oral) The hearing of the case is being held through video conferencing on account of restricted functioning of the Courts. Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for quashing of the order dated 26.11.2020 whereby the interim protection granted to him has been vacated.

In fact, the petitioner was granted interim protection during the pendency of appeal filed under Section 20(6) of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

It is not in dispute that the aforementioned appeal filed by the petitioner is pending with the Financial Commissioner, Punjab, for 02.12.2021.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, it is considered appropriate to request the Financial Commissioner, Punjab, to dispose of the pending appeal on the date already fixed i.e. 02.12.2021 or within a period of one
