(Oral) By this petition, the petitioner is complaining of the fact that the lien on its securities is continued despite the fact that the appeal of the petitioner against the assessment order was allowed and the matter has been remanded back. As per petitioner, there is no occasion now for the securities to be kept in lien in such circumstances. In this connection, the petitioner is stated to have made representation(s) (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2 and the learned counsel states that he would be satisfied at this stage if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide its representation(s) (Annexure P-4) by passing a speaking order within a reasonable time. We find this to be a suitable course of action. In these circumstances, we deem it appropriate at this stage to dispose of this petition by directing respondent No.2 to decide the aforesaid representation(s) in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2021.11.29 13:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
