RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for quashing of notices, dated 20.12.2017 and 21.02.2018, issued by the Municipal Corporation, Patiala, Annexures P4 and P6, respectively, whereby the petitioner has been threatened to pay change of land use charges, failing which his business premises shall be sealed, without any authority of law and without even explaining how the demanded charges are due against the petitioner. It is further prayed to restrain the respondents from resorting to any coercive methods of recovering the illegally demanded charges during pendency of the present writ petition.

However, repeatedly no appearance has been put on behalf of the petitioner for the last two dates. Same is the position today as well. It seems neither the petitioner nor his counsel is interested in pursuing this MEENU 2024.05.24 14:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
