The matter was referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre. A report was sent by the Centre along with the compromise deed that the matrimonial dispute was amicably settled between the appellant and the respondent.

In terms of the compromise deed entered into between the parties, the appellant had agreed to withdraw the appeal, in view of the finding already recorded by the trial Court in the petition filed by the appellant for divorce that the marriage solemnised between the respondent and the appellant was "invalid and void marriage." FAO No. M-181 of 2014 would submit that the respondent would withdraw the criminal case launched by the respondent as against appellant-wife. Learned counsel appearing for the appellant seeks permission to withdraw the appeal in view of the above settlement arrived at between the parties.
