1. The petitioner, who is a 73 years old person, has preferred this writ petition claiming that his services from 20.10.1971 should be counted, and he should be granted promotion from the back date.

2. The petitioner has retired long back.

3. Writ Petition has been filed on 04.08.2023 and the claim is based on the Punjab Civil Services Rules, 1994, whereas the service claimed is of the year 1971.

4. Writ Petition is wholly frivolous and is accordingly dismissed.
