RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing of impugned order dated 17.07.2023/01.08.2023, Annexure P5, passed by respondent No.2 for suspending the petitioner from the post of Sarpanch under Section 20(5) of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 being illegal, arbitrary and against the settled law. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of this petition with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the same by way of filing an appeal under Section 20(6) of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. Allowed as prayed for.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid. However, if any such appeal is filed, the same be decided expeditiously as per law.
