The petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of impugned transfer order dated 10.8.2023 (Annexure P-2) passed by the office of Water Resources Department, Government of Punjab, whereby the petitioner has been transferred from Kandi Area Dam, Maintenance Division - I, Hoshiarpur to Faridkot, Canal and Ground Water Division - I, Water Resources Department, Faridkot.

Learned State counsel has put in appearance pursuant to service of an advance copy of petition and has informed that the impugned transfer order already stands withdrawn. A copy of order dated 25.8.2023 passed by the office of Water Resources Department, Government of Punjab has been furnished to this Court, which is taken on record.
