The petitioner is seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family from the hands of respondents No.5 and 6. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on the evening of 27th July 2023, petitioner was attacked by unknown assailants. In the alleged attack, the petitioner was deprived of his money besides also receiving injuries for which he was medically treated without any delay. Learned counsel further submits that even though a complaint was moved promptly before the police, however, the official respondents have been sitting over the matter and instead pressurizing the petitioner to withdraw the complaint. 3.

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed off with a direction to the official respondents to consider and decide his complaint/ representation dated 21.08.2023 (Annexure P-5) filed by him in accordance with law.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3 - Commissioner of Police, Guru Gorakhnath Road, Faridabad to look into the complaint/representation dated 21.08.2023 (Annexure P-5) and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
