The present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, is for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 for transferring the prisoner namely, Simranjit Singh @ Simra, son of petitioner from District Jail, Patiala to any other jail, preferably New jail Nabha or District Jail Ropar, as his son is being tortured and beaten up unnecessarily without any reason, along with further prayer to decide the representation dated 10.07.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he had moved a representation dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure P-1) before respondent No.2, but no action on the same has been taken till date and he would be satisfied if respondent No.2 is directed to look into and decide the said representation.

CRM-M-37248 of 2025 Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice and submitted that she has no objection if the aforesaid representation dated 10.07.2025 (Annexure P-1) is looked into.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Chandigarh, to look into the aforesaid representation and to decide the same within two weeks, and to take appropriate action as per law, if any required, at the earliest.

Disposed of.
