Through instant civil writ petition, preferred under Articles 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ particularly in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to release GPF as he was retired on 29.11.2016 AND FURTHER to decide representations (P-3 & P-4). 2.

The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner stood retired on 27.02.2017 and all the other retiral benefits has since been released to the petitioner yet the amount on account of GPF which is to the tune of approximately Rs.12.00 lacs has not so far been disbursed. Even, petitioner served a legal notice dated 05.03.2018 (Annexure P-5) upon the respondents to release the amount of GPF for which he is legally entitled and is his hard earned money but till date no action has been taken. Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents to consider the case as setup by the petitioner in legal notice dated 05.03.2018 (P-5) and take a conscious decision within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. If there is no impediment in releasing the benefit, to disburse the same within next one month. 5.

However, if petitioner still feels aggrieved by any of the orders passed by the aforesaid authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
