By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to revise the pension under instructions dated 14.09.1998 (P-1) and 18.08.1998 (P-2) as per last pay drawn by the deceased husband of petitioner and to revise the pension as per these policy instructions and also to grant the payment of arrears with interest @18% on the delayed payments.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No.5 to decide legal notice dated 20.11.2017 (Annexure P-7), within a stipulated period.

However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved against the order passed by the concerned authority, she shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies as well as to approach this Court.
