This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 0098 dated 25.05.2025 under Sections 103,61(2), 191(2), 351,191(3), 190 BNS and Sections 25,54,59 of Amrs Act registered at Police Station Chheharta District Police Commissionerate Amritsar Punjab.

The prosecution's case asserts that four individuals came riding on a motorcycle with registration number PB-02-EU-7167. The motorcycle was driven by one person namely Karan, while Kishu, Amit Athwal, and an unidentified person were seated behind him. Among them, Gopi and Karan chased Harjinder Singh, a Councillor, and started firing gunshots at him with pistols. One bullet hit the deceased on the left side of the stomach and two bullets struck under his right armpit and another bullet hit near the armpit. Subsequently, the complainant had alleged that the deceased has been killed at the instance of Gurpreet Singh @ Kishan, who is residing abroad and in the planning, Baljit Singh @ Bully and Suraj were also involved. CRM-M-37718-2025 prior, Gurwinder Kaur, the wife of Raj @ Rajpal, and the mother of the aforementioned individuals, had remarked during an earlier altercation, "Brahmna, now gunshots will be fired at you." It is alleged that the petitioner is involved in the conspiracy to kill the complainant's brother. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not present at the time of occurrence. The petitioner has been implicated only on the basis of past verbal exchange with the deceased, which by itself cannot be a ground for invocation for criminal liability. He further submits that the petitioner is a woman and is not maintaining good health. She is ready and willing to join the investigation.

Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent- State. He has opposed the prayer made by the counsel for the petitioner on the ground that the allegations against the petitioner are serious.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties. 7.

Keeping in view the facts of the case that there are serious allegations against the petitioner and her custodial interrogation is required in this case, no ground is made out to grant the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
