(Oral) The petitioner has filed this petition under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the transfer order dated 11.09.2017 (Annexure P5) qua the petitioner only, transferring him from Chandigarh to Bhalukpong (Assam) with nearest railway station at Guahati, at a distance of 252 Kms away from Guahati, along with certain other prayers.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous because the petitioner already stands retired from the service.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
