The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondents to consider him for compassionate appointment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that father of the petitioner, who was working with respondent, passed away on 05.02.2013 in harness. The petitioner lodged his claim for compassionate appointment in 2016 which was rejected on account of non-availability of the vacancy. The petitioner again applied in 2017. The respondent vide communication dated 06.06.2018 informed the petitioner that his name would be considered by respective Zonel Chief Engineer. The respondent, till date, has not considered the case of the petitioner. 3.
