(Oral) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners in case FIR No. 13, dated 28.08.2019, under Sections 498-A, 406 IPC, registered at Police Station Women Ferozepur, District Ferozepur.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.2 was arrested and thereafter released on regular bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner presses the petition qua petitioner No.1 only. On the joint request of learned counsel for the parties, this Court vide order dated 11.09.2019, had referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court. However, as per the report received from the said Forum, which is annexed on the case file, despite best effort, no amicable settlement could be arrived at between the parties. Further, a perusal of the allegations levelled in the FIR in question reveals that there are serious allegations against the petitioner, who is the JAWALA RAM 2020.01.30 13:46 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

In such circumstances, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out.
