The present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, is for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.1 and 2 to enquire into the murder of brother of the petitioner by constituting a Special Investigation Team or through some independent Investigation Agency, as his brother was given severe injuries by respondent Nos.5 and 6 in his Cell and even not provided proper treatment for his injuries, due to which he succumbed to the injuries at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar, and petitioner is receiving threats at the hands of respondent Nos.5 and 6, along with further prayer to decide the representation dated 22.06.2025 (Annexure P-1). Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he had moved a representation dated 22.06.2025 (Annexure P-1) before respondent No.2, but no action on the same has been taken till date and he would be JYOTI 2025.07.28 15:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice and submitted that she has no objection if the aforesaid representation dated 22.06.2025 (Annexure P-1) is looked into.
In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-the Director General of Police, Punjab, to look into the aforesaid representation and decide the same within four weeks, and to take appropriate action as per law, if any required, at the earliest and communicate to the petitioner.
