DEEPAK GUPTA , J.(Oral) In compliance of the order dated 05.01.2024, Shri Mukhwinder S. Bhullar, SSP, Jalandhar (Rural) has appeared in person and tendered his apology for filing delayed status report. He has also assured to take care in future to file the status report in the cases within time. Proceedings are dropped against him.

Status report by way of affidavit of Shri Balbir Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Kartarpur, has been filed on behalf of respondent-State, as per which after conducting thorough investigation, cancellation report has been approved and the S.H.O. concerned has been directed by the SSP, Jalandhar to submit the cancellation report before the Court concerned in accordance with law without any delay.

In view of the aforesaid status report, this petition is hereby disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file the protest petition, if he so wishes before the concerned Magistrate in accordance with law or to avail alternate remedy available to him.
