The limited prayer made in the present petition is for taking action on the representation dated 02.08.2023 (Annexure P-1) 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner and his family members are being threatened by the private respondents and in this regard a complaint was sent by speed post to the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar dated 02.08.2023. Learned counsel would further contend that despite the said fact, no action has been taken on the complaint.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Hans Raj has pointed out that the complaint was sent to the Commissioner of Police TRIPTI SAINI 2023.09.02 12:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
2023:PHHC:115188 CRM-M-43261-2023 -2Jalandhar but the concerned police station falls within the jurisdiction of Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural). Learned counsel for the State however assures the Court that the present representation appended as Annexure P-1 with the petition as well as the averments made in the petition would be treated as a complaint and would be looked into expeditiously. 4.
In view of the statement made by the learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed off with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) to treat the present petition along with Annexure P-1 as a complaint and to look into the matter expeditiously. Till a decision is taken on the complaint, the State shall ensure the safety and security of the petitioner and his family members. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
